Background

Hi, I’m Adrianna — a Registered Professional Counsellor – Candidate (RPC-C) and the founder of Cedarview Counselling.

Originally from Waterloo, Ontario, I moved west in 2013 to Banff, eventually settling in Calgary before making my home on an acreage outside of Olds. My path into the mental health field has been shaped by both formal education and hands-on experience — and a deep belief in the power of connection, compassion, and personal growth.

I completed my Diploma in Applied Psychology and Professional Counselling through the Kelowna College of Professional Counselling, and later earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount Royal University. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling with the long-term goal of becoming a registered psychologist and opening an equine-assisted therapy practice.

Outside of counselling, I spend my time with my husband, our two golden retrievers, two horses, and cat. I find joy in photography, and being out in nature — whether that’s hiking, camping, or riding my horses.

Experience

My professional experience includes working as a Youth and Family Counsellor with Wood’s Homes, serving as a clinic administrator for a busy counselling practice, and now offering one-on-one virtual sessions through Cedarview Counselling.

I’ve also had the privilege of volunteering with several meaningful organizations — including:

  • Mountain View Hospice, supporting individuals through grief and bereavement

  • Kids Help Phone, providing crisis response

  • Can Praxis, assisting in equine therapy sessions for veterans and first responders

Approach

As a counsellor, I take a warm, client-centered approach rooted in:

  • Rogerian therapy

  • Positive psychology

  • Solution-focused brief therapy

  • Animal-assisted support, where appropriate

My goal is to create a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative — where we can explore what matters most to you at a pace that feels right.
